The Cite de la Musique is one of my favorite museums yet. There is something so wonderful to me about the importance of music in life. All cultures and all people from all the ages of this world have found a need to express themselves through music. This museum had instruments on display from prehistoric times up to the present. I was completely captivated by each instrument, especially the harpsicords and pianos. It's fascinating to think about the people who may have played each of them and the emotions they may have felt and put across through their music. I know I feel a personal connection to my piano, and it makes me wonder with each of these instruments from as early as prehistoric times, who did they belong to? And what importance did they have in their owners' lives?
