Welcome to the Opera Garnier. This is actually the back...
Ah, here we go. Opera Garnier! Phantom of the Opera Opera House. There really is a lake under the building!

Inside the Opera House...I don't really have adequate words to give a proper commentary, so just enjoy the beauty and splendor.

Though this picture of the Galaries Layfayette does not assume to be anything amazing, wait until you see inside this insane shopping mall.
See what I mean? This is where you have all of your big, and I mean big, Paris fashion centers. Dior, Cartier, Chanel, etc etc etc I am certainly not an expert on such sparkly expensive things.

Looking was quite enough for me...
Walking down Rue de La Paix...
This 140 foot column with Napoleon on the top was erected in 1806 in celebration of the victory at Austerlitz. Over 1,200 Austrian cannons were melted down to create the column.
The Ritz Hotel, the place Princess Diana left just minutes before her fatal car crash.
L'eglise Saint-Roch. Louis XIV had the foundation for this church laid in 1653.
Inside l'eglise
I found the Ark of the Covenant by the way. Indiana Jones had it all wrong. It has been in this little church the entire time...
The walk ended in front of this statue of the most celebrated heroine of France, Jean d'Arc. It was on this street that she was wounded while leading an attack on the English in 1429.
